Willow Run appoints new board member

Winter weather advisory in effect until Friday morning

In a statement released by Ypsilanti Public Schools administration, all after-school programs at YPS are canceled today.

The release said the cancellation, due to weather, includes all sporting events, extracurricular activities, adult education classes and the warm water swim classes at Estabrook Elementary School.

According to the National Weather Service, a winter weather advisory is in effect until 7 a.m. Friday. With snowfall expected to reduce visibility to 1 mile, 3 to 5 inches are expected to accumulate during the night.

Willow Run Community Schools also canceled its regular board meeting scheduled for tonight. No reason was given for the cancellation.
