Two vehicles were involved in a head-on collision in Downtown Ypsilanti this afternoon.
The incident occurred at approximately 12:30 p.m. on the corner of Michigan Avenue and Washington Street. The incident was cleared and traffic was moving freely by 1:15 p.m.
Witnesses reported a gold-colored Chevy pick-up truck was traveling north on Washington Street when it struck a silver Jaguar, heading west on Michigan Avenue.
Two police cars and a Huron Valley Ambulance were on the scene shortly after the collision. A woman and two children were in the Jaguar. No immediate health issues were apparent on the scene.
The Durango had managed to drive up on the sidewalk in front of J. Neil’s Mongolian Grill.
Authorities were already clearing the road twenty minutes later.
