Ypsi DDA to vote on ending interim director's contract

Ypsilanti police parked in the N. Adams parking lot while wrapping up an investigation for a body found near the AATA Transit Center this afternoon. An overdose is suspected and an autopsy is scheduled for Monday.

Prostitution sting leads to two arrests

Suspects jailed for allegedly soliciting police

Two women were arrested in Ypsilanti Township Wednesday morning for prostitution during a special enforcement on Michigan Avenue by Washtenaw County Sheriff’s deputies.

Both transported to the Washtenaw County Jail, the Ypsilanti Township residents allegedly solicited the deputies for sex, according to police.

The first suspect, arrested at 9 a.m. Wednesday near Harris on Michigan Avenue, is 40 years old. The second, arrested a half an hour later near Johnson on Michigan Avenue, is 29 years old.
