Attempted armed robbery
A subject attempting to rob an Ypsilanti Township business at gunpoint Tuesday fled the scene after threats from the owner.
Nothing was taken and nobody was injured, according to police.
Washtenaw County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the 300 block of Ford Boulevard at 9:15 p.m. They said it was reported to them that the subject barged into the store demanding money.
“The owner started yelling at him to leave, and told him the police are on the way,” a report issued by the department today read.
The report said the subject pointed a .22 caliber pistol at the owner and left the store.
There is no video available, but the subject is described as a 5-foot, 6-inch African American male wearing a tan or gold hooded jacket and a bandana-type ski mask.
Burglary
Nothing was taken in a reported burglary in Ypsilanti Township Tuesday.
Deputies responded to the 1000 block of Lori Street at 8:45 a.m. and discovered the front door was kicked in.
Police said the subject went through cabinets and drawers, but took nothing.
Suspects are unknown at this time.

Miscellaneous jewelry was reported stolen from an Ypsilanti Township home Tuesday.
Deputies responded to the 1600 block of Meadow Woods Boulevard at 6:40 p.m. and discovered sliding glass door in the back had been taken off the track.

Deputies responded to the 2900 block of Clark Road at 11 p.m. and discovered the front door was kicked in.
