The victim had found the car on Craigslist.com, and paid $2,000 cash for purchase.
Domestic assault
Deputies were dispatched by 911 to the 100 block of Pasadena Street in Ypsilanti Township for a domestic assault in progress at 9 p.m. Monday.
Police said the suspect had fled prior to their arrival on the scene. Once there, they found a 22-year-old Ypsilanti Township woman was assaulted by her 21-year-old boyfriend of 4 years.
The suspect later returned and tried to kick in the front door to gain entry into the residence. Deputies again responded and located the suspect in the back yard.
While attempting to place the suspect under arrest, police say he assaulted the three deputies. After he was subdued, police placed under arrest and transported to the Washtenaw County Jail.
