Police chase, drug arrest, burglary

Police chase leads to arrest
A 30-year-old Ypsilanti resident was arraigned on three charges and remanded after leading police on a chase early Thursday morning.
Anthony Lamar Borden was given $20,000 worth of bonds for resisting and obstructing and possessing a controlled substance.
The incident occurred when Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Deputies attempted to stop a stolen vehicle from Ypsilanti city on Ecorse Road, near Rosewood, in Ypsilanti Township.
“Upon activating the emergency lights, the vehicle fled from the deputy at a high rate of speed,” a report issued by police today said.
After stopping at Riverside Manor on Grove Street in Ypsilanti city, the driver fled on foot. He was apprehended after police deployed a Taser.
Trespassing, drug possession
Two Ypsilanti Township teenagers were arrested Friday for possession of suspected marijuana and trespassing in Superior Township.
Deputies came into contact with the two suspects, one 18 and the other 17 years old, on the 8900 block of Macarthur Boulevard at 8:30 p.m., according to a report issued by police.
The two were transported to the Washtenaw County Jail. A report will be issued to the prosecutor.
Burglary
A 46-inch flat screen television was reported stolen from a Superior Township home Saturday.
Deputies responded to the 1200 block of Stamford Road at 12:30 a.m., where it was discovered entry had been gained by breaking out a front window.
Suspects are unknown at this time.

A laptop computer was reported stolen from an Ypsilanti Township home Saturday.
Deputies responded to the 1200 block of Evelyn Street at 6 p.m., where it was discovered entry had been gained through the side door.
Suspects are unknown at this time.
Stolen vehicle
A dark-blue 2008 four-door Avenger was reported stolen from an Ypsilanti Township home Saturday.
Deputies responded to the 8500 block of Spinnaker Way at 7 p.m., where it was reported the vehicle had been taken during the day.
