Armed Robbery
The Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office is looking for two suspects wanted in relation to an armed robbery Sunday morning in Ypsilanti Township.
Deputies were dispatched by 911 at 11 a.m. to the 1500 block of Ecorse Road. Police say one of the suspects stood watch while the other entered the store armed with a handgun, who demanded money from the cashier.
After taking the cash, the suspects left. No injuries were reported and no customers were in the store at the time.
Both suspects are reported as black males 16 to 20 years old. One was wearing a black hooded-coat, jeans, white shoes and a black cloth covering the face. The second was wearing a black hoodie.
Stolen vehicle
A gold 2001 four-door Dodge Stratus was reported stolen to the Washtenaw County Sherriff’s Office Sunday.
Deputies were dispatched at 4 p.m. to the 5000 block of Bosuns Way in Ypsilanti Township. The car had been stolen during the past 24 hours. The keys were not inside.
Burglary
A laptop and two pairs of Nike Air Force One tennis shoes were reported stolen from an Ypsilanti Township home at 4 p.m. Sunday.
Deputies were dispatched to the 500 block of Belmont for a reported burglary. Police said the rear door was kicked in to gain entry during the day. Suspects are unknown.
Armed robbery arraignment
A man was arraigned on armed robbery charges and remanded to the Washtenaw County Jail Saturday after his arrest for stealing $500 from an Ypsilanti Township business Friday.
Donald Will Maschat, 24, is reported by police to have given an employee $200 in cash when paying to have his vehicle picked up after some repairs on the 300 block of Ford Boulevard. When he was given his change, police said he pulled out a gun and demanded more money.
After taking the money, Police said Maschat fled the scene with the cash in his repaired vehicle. A short time later he was stopped by deputies and arrested.
Burglary
Three computers and $800 in cash were reported missing in an Ypsilanti Township burglary Saturday.
Deputies were called at 8:15 p.m. to the 800 block of Belmont Drive, where they said they found the rear door kicked in. Police are still investigating.
Prostitution
A 27-year-old Ypsilanti woman was arrested for prostitution and taken to the Washtenaw County Jail Friday after reportedly soliciting a detective.
The Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office was conducting a special enforcement on Michigan Avenue near Harris Street. The arrest was made at 5:30 a.m. and the case will be sent to the prosecutor.
Burglary
A revolver hand gun, a lap top computer and some miscellaneous coins were reported stolen from an Ypsilanti Township home Friday.
Deputies were dispatched to the 1300 of Redleaf Lane at 12:30 p.m. and found the rear door kicked in. Suspects are unknown.

One Play Station controller, two video games, a cell phone, 96 CDs and some clothing were reported stolen from an Ypsilanti Township home Friday.
Deputies were dispatched to the 200 block of Stevens Drive at 8 p.m. and discovered entry was gained through an open window. Suspects are unknown at this time.
