An Ypsilanti Township resident fled from the 14B District Court in Ypsilanti Township at approximately 10:30 Monday morning after being sentenced to 93 days for assault and battery.
The Washtenaw County Sheriff's Office reported Tuesday afternoon, 19-year-old Robert Brown Taylor escaped from custody and was last seen wearing a white shirt and blue jeans. He is described as a black male, approximately 5-foot ,7-inches and 145 pounds with brown eyes and black hair.
Washtenaw County Sheriff's Cmdr. Dieter Heren said Brown took off as he was being sentenced and was "last seen running down the driveway." It's not the type of that happens often according to Heren, but he said detectives are working on locating Brown.
