Armed robbery
Washtenaw County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating an armed robbery that occurred in Ypsilanti Township Tuesday.

At 1 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the 500 block of Greenlawn Street, where it was reported the victim had been talking with the three suspects when one pulled out a gun and assaulted him.

Before fleeing in an unknown direction, the suspects took cash, a bridge card and a cell phone.

Minor injuries were reported.

The suspects were described as 20-year-old white males wearing black skull caps, black hooded sweatshirts and black pants.

Home invasion arraignment
The Van Buren Township man accused of assaulting his girlfriend and kidnapping her 2-year-old daughter Sunday was charged with home invasion and issued a $10,000 bond during his arraignment Tuesday.

Gregory Senkbeil, 39, was arrested Sunday, when deputies were dispatched to the 1100 block of Desoto Street in Ypsilanti Township for a disorderly complaint.

Before deputies arrived, police said Senkbeil had come to the victim’s house and attempted to gain entry by kicking in the front door. When that failed, he broke in through a back window and attacked the victim.

Police said Senkbeil then grabbed the victim’s 2-year-old daughter and fled out the front door.

The victim followed Senkbeil out the front door and jumped into the bed of the pickup truck as he pulled away.

Deputies located the pickup truck with all subjects inside.

The victim received minor injuries and the baby was unharmed.

Senkbeil’s pretrial is scheduled for next week.

A statement from police said Miller led deputies on a pursuit through side streets, until he stopped in the 800 block of Parkwood, where he then left the vehicle and fled on foot.

Deputies were able to locate Miller, and he was arrested and brought to the Washtenaw County Jail. His pre-trial is scheduled for next week.
