A 29-year-old man was arrested Thursday by Ypsilanti Police officers after allegedly breaking into a vacant home on the 400 block of First Avenue in Ypsilanti.

When officers arrived at the address at 11:45 p.m. Thursday, there was a window broken out of the vacant house and two people standing outside. Inside, police found the single suspect, who they determined acted alone in the break-in.

Burglary
Washtenaw County Sheriff Office deputies responded at 10:20 a.m. Thursday to the report of a break-in on the 5500 block of Geddes Road in Superior Township.

Entry to the residence was gained through the north side window, the WCSO said, and a television, a digital camera, a laptop computer and miscellaneous jewelry was reported stolen.

No suspects have been named at this time.

Burglary
A break-in was reported to the WCSO at 11:20 p.m. Thursday at a home on the 600 block of Oswego Avenue in Ypsilanti Township.

Entry was gained sometime after 10:50 p.m. by kicking in the back door, deputies reported. Nothing was stolen from the residence.

No suspects have yet been identified in the crime, according to the WCSO.

Marijuana arrest
A 19-year-old Ann Arbor man was arrested at 2:15 p.m. Thursday by a WCSO deputy for possession of suspected marijuana.

The deputy came into contact with the suspect, who was known to the deputy, while he was allegedly trespassing in the area near the 9000 block of MacArthur Boulevard in Superior Township.

After discovering the man appeared to be in possession of the illegal drug, he was arrested and lodged at Washtenaw County Jail. The report will be forwarded to the prosecutor's office, the WCSO reported.

Drunk driver arrested
While conducting a traffic stop on Stony Creek Road near Whittaker Road in Ypsilanti Township, WCSO deputies arrested a 38-year-old Ypsilanti Township woman, who was allegedly driving her vehicle under the influence of intoxicants.

The woman was arrested and lodged at Washtenaw County Jail. The case will be sent to the prosecutor's office for review, according to the WCSO.
