After turning herself into police Tuesday, Margret Pittman was charged with felonious assault and issued a $100,000 bond at her arraignment.

The charge is connected to the homicide investigation conducted by the Washtenaw County Sheriff's Office after the murder of Jamar Gardner in Superior Township Saturday.

Police are asking anyone with information about the two suspects' whereabouts to call the WCSO tip line at 734-973-7711.

Child cruelty
A 37-year-old Sumpter Township resident was arrested Wednesday in Ypsilanti Township for child cruelty after leading deputies on a short chase.

Deputies were dispatched to Grove Road, near Ide Street, at 8 p.m. for a family dispute. After it had been reported a verbal disagreement had occurred earlier in the day, the suspect suspect fled the residence with the family's 2-year-old girl.

Deputies located the suspect's vehicle, but he refused to stop and led police on a short pursuit, ending at Bortz Health Care parking lot on Prospect Road. The suspect then fled on foot, leaving the child in the vehicle.

The suspect was arrested and transported to the Washtenaw County Jail. The child was unharmed and returned to her mother.

Burglary
A television was reported stolen from a Superior Township home Wednesday.

Deputies responded to the 8800 block of Macarthur Boulevard at 4 p.m., where it was discovered entry had been gained through the kitchen window during the past few hours.

Suspects are unknown at this time.
