Christmas presents burglarized in police summary

Home invasion/auto theft
Two men entered an occupied residence in Ypsilanti Township, stole several items and fled in the homeowner’s car.

Washtenaw County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the 1600 block of Grove Road on Sunday at approximately 6 pm. for the home invasion that had just occurred.

It was reported black males had entered the home, stole several items and fled in a silver 2006 Honda Civic.

No suspects are known at this time.

Burglary
An X-box video game system and portable DVD player were stolen from an Ypsilanti apartment on Saturday.

Ypsilanti Police officers responded to the 500 block of Pearl Street at approximately 11:30 p.m. after a caller told the dispatcher he had received information someone had broken into his apartment.

Officers discovered a broke glass sliding door, flipped over furniture and opened drawers.

No suspects are known at this time

Burglary
A black mint coat, bomber-style gray mink coat, two pairs of diamond earrings, Ipod, diamond ring and two gold necklaces were stolen from Ypsilanti Township home on Friday.

Deputies responded to the 5500 block of Grayfield Circle at approximately 11 p.m., where it was found entry had been gained through a sliding glass backdoor sometime in the previous two days.

Suspects are unknown at this time.

Auto theft
Two cars were stolen from an Ypsilanti Township home on Saturday while the owner left them running and unattended to warm up in hi driveway.

Deputies were dispatched to the 8600 block of Spinnaker Way at approximately 7 p.m., where a bronze 2003 Chevy Tahoe and gray Honda were stolen.

Suspects are unknown at this time.

Burglary
A burglar opened Christmas gifts under a tree in a Superior Township home and stole two laptop computers, a Wii video game system, video games, purse, wallet and a PSP system.

Deputies were dispatched to the 8200 block of South Warwick Court at approximately 11 p.m. to investigate. Entry was gained through a dining room window.

No suspects are known at this time.

Burglary
A Sony Playstation, 10 video games and a laptop computer were stolen from a Superior Township home Sunday.

At approximately 5:20 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the 1300 block of Samford Street, where it was discovered entry was gained by smashing in a sliding glass door.

No suspects are known at this time.

Larceny
A purse was stolen from the top of a car in a driveway in Ypsilanti Township, as the victim was bringing several bags into her home on Monday.

Deputies were dispatched to the 9900 block of Julie Drive in Ypsilanti Township at approximately 1 a.m. for the theft that had just occurred.

No suspects are known at this time.
