Child Wanders
A two-year-old child was found walking alone with no pants near the roadway at the intersection of Washtenaw and Perrin Streets on Monday afternoon.
Ypsilanti Police officers were dispatched to the area at approximately 1 p.m. where a witness had secured the child in a stroller.
According to the police log, the child’s mother had fallen asleep and the toddler walked out of the house.
No citations were issued but the Ypsilanti Police Department contacted Michigan Child Protective Services.
Concealed Weapon
Two men were arrested during a traffic stop after it was discovered they had marijuana and a loaded gun in their car.
Washtenaw County Sheriff’s deputies stopped the suspects at approximately 7 p.m. on Dorset Avenue near Tyler Road in Ypsilanti Township on Monday night.
The 21-year-old and 24-year-old passengers were both arraigned yesterday on charges of carrying a concealed weapon in a motor vehicle and possession of marijuana.
Both also had additional warrants.
