Robbery
A woman was robbed in Ypsilanti on Tuesday.
The victim reported she was walking south on Adams Street from Pearl Street around 8 p.m. when an unknown man approached her from behind. He demanded her personal property and instructed her not to turn around.
He took her cell phone and wallet containing $80 before fleeing on foot. She said she did not see a gun.
No suspects are known at this time.
Possession of a stolen vehicle
A man fled on foot from Washtenaw County Sheriff’s deputies after being pulled over in a stolen car Wednesday.
At approximately 1:20 a.m., deputies stopped the car on Michigan Avenue near Johnson Street.
The suspect was apprehended and transported to the Washtenaw County Jail after a short foot chase.
He was scheduled to be arraigned today.
Auto theft
A car was stolen from the driveway of an Ypsilanti home Monday night or Tuesday morning.
The victim reported it was stolen sometime between 9 p.m. Monday and 8 a.m. Tuesday outside his house on the 1600 block of Collegewood Street.
The silver 1992 Dodge Caravan has pink “bondo” putty on the front hood.
No suspects are known at this time.
Burglary
A laptop, $80 in change, box cutter and digital camera were stolen from an Ypsilanti home Tuesday.
Ypsilanti Police officers were dispatched to the 1100 block of Congress Street where they were able to look at surveillance footage from a camera at the residence. They saw a black male walking around the house at 8:30 a.m.
No suspects are known at this time.
Burglary
A laptop and jewelry box were stolen from an Ypsilanti Township home Tuesday.
Washtenaw County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched at approximately 6 p.m. to the 900 block of East Michigan Avenue to investigate. It was discovered entry was gained through the back door.
Suspects are unknown at this time.
