Cache of stolen goods found during burglary arrest in police summary

Felonious assault
A 26-year-old Ypsilanti Township man was arrested for attempting to assault another subject on Thursday.

Washtenaw County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the 3100 block of West Michigan Avenue for a threats complaint Thursday night.

Officers found one man tried to physically attack another over a civil dispute.
The suspect was transported to the Washtenaw County Jail.

Trespassing
Five men were arrested for warrants and trespassing in Ypsilanti Township on Wednesday.

At approximately 9:30 a.m., deputies were dispatched to the 9400 block of MacArthur Boulevard in Superior Township to check the security of the residence.

It was discovered that the home had been broken into and was occupied by a large group of people who did not have permission to be there.

All the subjects were arrested on warrants and transported to the Washtenaw County Jail.

Burglary
A large amount of stolen property from several burglaries was discovered next to an apartment building by Washtenaw County Sheriff’s deputies on Thursday.

Deputies were dispatched to the 170 block of Russell Boulevard for a burglary in progress and discovered the items.

After further investigation, deputies arrested a 16-year-old boy and a 22-year-old man, both from Ypsilanti Township.

They were transported to the Washtenaw County Jail.

Burglary
A large dog scared off a burglar in Ypsilanti Township on Thursday.

Deputies were dispatched to the 900 block of Tyler Road, where it was found a rear door was kicked in, but deputies believe the dog prevented the burglary.

Suspects are unknown at this time.

Burglary
Canton Township police arrested two men after burglarizing a Superior Township home on Thursday.

At approximately 4:15 p.m., Washtenaw County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the 3400 block of Cherokee Trail for a burglary.

It was discovered entry was gained by prying open a basement window.

Canton Township police conducting a traffic stop found the stolen property in the call and are holding the two men, who are expected to be arraigned today.

Burglary
Jewelry and cash were stolen from an Ypsilanti Township home on Thursday.

At approximately 5 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the 1800 block of Pasadena Street.
It was discovered entry was gained by kicking in the back door.

Suspects are unknown at this time.

Burglary
A flat screen television, jewelry and quarters were stolen from an Ypsilanti Township home on Thursday.

At approximately 7:50 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the 1300 block of Russell Street.
It was discovered entry was gained through a rear window.

Suspects are unknown at this time.

Burglary
A white jewelry box and jewelry were stolen from an Ypsilanti Township home on Thursday.

At approximately 10 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the 6900 block of McKean Road in Ypsilanti Township.

It was discovered entry was gained through an unlocked door.

Suspects are unknown at this time.


Theft
A game boy and wallet were stolen from a woman’s backpack as she stood in line at Mike’s Party Store on the 200 block of Michigan Avenue in Ypsilanti on Wednesday.

No suspects are known at this time.
