Two burglaries in weekend police summary

Attempt abduction
A 14-year-old Ypsilanti Township girl was threatened with kidnapping Saturday, but was able to escape the situation unharmed.

Washtenaw County Sheriff's deputies were dispatched to Grove Road, near Bradley, at 5:20 p.m. It was reported the girl had been walking home in this area when she was approached by a three African American males in a white SUV.

“The driver opened his door and yelled at the girl 'I am going to snatch you up,' ” a report issued today by the WCSO said.

The report said the girl was able to run to a nearby residence. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the suspect vehicle.

Burglary
A snow blower and golf equipment were reported stolen from an Ypsilanti Township home Sunday.

Deputies responded to the 1700 block of Victor Street, where it was reported the victim when outside and saw an African American male running from his garage.

Suspects are unknown at this time.

Burglary
A television, computer and bed sheets were reported stolen from an Ypsilanti Township home Saturday.

Deputies responded to the 800 block of Grove Road at 2:30 a.m., where it was discovered entry had been gained through a bedroom window.

Suspects are unknown at this time.
