The lady Flyers’ cruised to a 41-30 point victory over conference foe Taylor Kennedy. The Flyers jumped out early with pressure defense and a high-paced offense and never looked back.

Kennedy (0-7, 0-5 Mega Blue) fought and kept pace in the second half. Point guard Nikia Taylor led the Eagles with 10 points. Guard Katie Day had a strong second half. Day netted 6 points, including a tough lay-up while being fouled. Cutting the Flyer lead down to 10 with 7:03 left in the fourth quarter, the smallest Flyer lead of the second half.

Willow Run's Dominique Lucas hit a jumper with 2:10 remaining that put the Flyers up 16. Lucas added 11 points on the night.

Tough Defense and rebounding stopped any late run by the Eagles. The Flyers next game is Friday night against Ypsilanti at 7 p.m.
