Armed robbery, ATV stolen, barn break-in

Armed robbery
A 22-year-old Ypsilanti resident was arrested Wednesday after allegedly robbing a couple who had given him a ride to Belleville in their car.
Washtenaw County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the 1100 block of Share Street in Ypsilanti Township at 4:20 p.m. Police said the couple had picked up the suspect at the location, drove him to Belleville and back to the location on Share Street.
Police said the suspect then pulled out a handgun and demanded the victims’ money. Police said he then left the scene with “a large amount of cash.”
Police said the suspect was located in a near-by residence, arrested and brought to the Washtenaw County Jail. Police said the handgun believed to be used in the incident was recovered from the suspect.
No injuries were reported and the suspect is to be arraigned later today.
Stolen vehicle
An all-terrain-vehicle was reported stolen from an Ypsilanti Township home Wednesday.
Deputies responded to the 6900 block of McKean Road at 8 a.m., where they discovered the chains securing the ATV to a tree were cut overnight.
The ATV is a red 2000 Honda Quad 450. Suspects are unknown at this time.
Burglary
A chop saw, radial saw, cordless drill set and a Honda ATV were reported stolen from an Ypsilanti Township barn Wednesday.
Deputies responded to the 1400, block of Blossom Avenue at 8 a.m., where it was reported the locked barn had been broken into overnight.
It was reported the ATV had a Reese hook. Suspects are unknown at this time.
