Eight juveniles were cited Thursday night during an operation by Ypsilanti Police officers enforcing the city's curfew ordinance, which forbids anyone under the age of 18 from being outside in city limits between 11 p.m. and 5:30 a.m.
Those cited for violating the ordinance ranged in age from 14 to 17, and two of the individuals were also cited on charges of illegal gambling and tobacco possession.

A 15-year-old male told Washtenaw County Sheriff Office deputies he was knocked off his bicycle at 8:50 p.m. Tuesday by two men, one armed with a handgun who then reportedly robbed him on Harris Road near Share Street in Ypsilanti Township.
The victim said, once he was able to get up, two men approached him with the gun and took a cell phone and $20 in cash. No injuries were reported, and suspects have not been identified at this time, the WCSO reported.
