Lincoln Consolidated Schools introduced Eve Claar as the athletic director.

Claar said Lincoln provides a great opportunity and environment.

“I am excited to be here and to work with the student-athletes,” she said. “I am looking forward to working with the students."

Putting her “stamp” on Lincoln also is very important to Claar. Although, she said she knows Lincoln has a history she doesn’t want to change.

“I want to continue the current traditions here at Lincoln and also move forward with the program,” she said.

Claar held the athletic director position for three years at Lasher High School in Bloomfield Hills. She made the move to Lincoln to replaced Sid Wright, who served as the district's athletic director for nearly 20 years.

Claar said the transition has been going well although every day is still a new experience.

“I still seem to meet someone new every day, whether it is a student or parent,” she said.  “Even learning what key is for what door I am still dealing with.”

Improving facilities is on Claars agenda; however she would not speak directly on the subject.

"We will look at what we have and evaluate all the facilities,” she said.

Improving the experience of the student- athlete is still her main focus and that won’t only be athletically related.

“I want to improve the student-athlete here at Lincoln not only on the field but in the classroom.”
