Money stolen from unattended purse at business

Washtenaw County Sheriff Office deputies responded the the report of a burglary Tuesday at an abandoned home on the 7000 block of Trotter's Park Drive in Ypsilanti Township.

The WCSO said copper piping had been taken from the empty house. No further details about the crime or any possible suspects is available at this time, according to the WCSO.

Larceny
A citizen at a business on the 1000 block of East Michigan Avenue in Ypsilanti Township Tuesday reported to WCSO deputies that items were stolen from an unattended purse while business was being transacted.

An unknown amount of cash was reported stolen from the purse, but no suspect information has yet been reported, according to the WCSO.

Trespassing
A 27-year-old man was arrested by Ypsilanti Police at 7:20 p.m. Tuesday for trespassing at a business on the 900 block of West Michigan Avenue.

Ypsilanti Police said they could not confirm which particular business the arrest was made.

The business owners had previously lodged a complaint about the man who was arrested, police said, and had told him not to come back to the business beforehand.

Domestic Assault
Ypsilanti Police responded at 5:24 p.m. Tuesday to the report of domestic violence in progress on the 500 block of St. John's in Ypsilanti.

Upon arrival, officers arrested the wife, who they determined had struck her husband. The victim required no medical attention, according to police, and the woman was lodged at Washtenaw County Jail.

Gambling
Ypsilanti Police officers arrested a juvenile near the 900 block of West Michigan Avenue at 10:19 p.m. Tuesday, for playing craps and having drug paraphernalia on him.

After arresting the youth, officers later released him to his mother.
