The Eastern Michigan University police are looking for a man suspected of exposing himself in a campus building.
According to a timely warning issued by EMU police, the incident occurred today at 9:45 a.m. in the university’s Warner Building.
The report said a staff member and students were in class as the suspect was loitering in the hallway. When the staff member went out to approach the suspect she noticed his pants and underwear were below his knees.
“While fleeing the area on foot the subject stated he had a weapon,” the report said. “No weapon was seen and there was no attempt to display a weapon.”
The report said the suspect was last seen running toward the parking structure on campus. Witnesses described the suspect as a light-skinned African American male, 5-foot, 5 inches to 5-foot 7 inches tall with a thin build and weighing approximately 140 pounds. He was seen wearing a brown Carhardt-style jacket, white shirt, blue jeans, wide black belt and black knit hat.
